gosh sorry to hear of your situation. i’d be miserable too. continue being nice to them. kill them with love and kindness. make sure u r not overtly showing ur irritation and displeasure. this only makes the situation worse. if they actually say something rude, politely and firmly tell them that was unacceptable to you. continue to be nice and treat them as you would another human being. be absorbed in your work. try not to have any cold wars going on. keep the communication going….about work-related things, and some personal things u’d like to share with them. if situation still doesn’t improve, talk to the boss and let her/him intervene.
at that point, i believe they will be forced to mend their ways.
ps: keep a track of whatever they say/do to jeopardize your position. this way when you talk to your boss, you have all the details/facts handy. don’t lose heart. i have come across such people. whatever happens, keep your dignity and self-respect.
